Connecting Ecosystems

Connecting Ecosystems allows for connections to be made across workspace Ecosystem Plans. If you’re interested in collaborating with another workspace’s Ecosystem Plan. The collaborating functionality can be accessed from the Dashboard, the Workspace and Published Ecosystem Plan.

Request a Collaboration from your Dashboard

Navigate to “My Dashboard” and here you can click the arrow on the left of your screen to reveal the pop out tab that includes Manage Collaborations. The Manage Collaborations allows you to create, view, and manage collaborations between Workspaces. From here, you can:

1. View Connected Workspaces: At the top of the Manage Collaborations page, you can see your Connected Workspaces. This view helps you quickly understand how your workspace is connected to others. For each connected workspace, this section shows:

  • Workspace name
  • – Whether you are sharing your ecosystem
  • – Whether you are adopting from their ecosystem
  • – Management options (if applicable)

2. Manage Collaborations Request: Below the Connected Workspaces, you will find the Collaboration Requests section. This is where you can manage incoming and outgoing requests.

Received Requests: This tab displays collaboration requests sent to your Workspace. Each request includes:

  • Workspace name of the requester
  • – Status (for example: Pending)
  • Type of collaboration requested
  • – Reason provided by the requesting workspace
  • Actions to approve or reject the request

Sent Requests: This tab shows collaboration requests that you have sent to other workspaces. This helps you keep visibility over collaboration invitations that are awaiting a response. Here you can:

  • – Track the status of each request
  • – See whether a request is still pending, accepted, or declined

3. New collaboration: Follow these steps to start a new collaboration with another workspace.

  1. 1. Click the + New Collaboration button in the top-right corner of the page.
  2. 2. Complete the collaboration form by selecting:
    • – The workspace you want to collaborate with
    • – The type of collaboration (sharing, adopting, or both)
    • – The reason for the collaboration
  3. 3. Submit your request.

Once submitted, the collaboration request will be sent to the selected workspace for review.

Request a Collaboration from your Workspace

You can also access Manage Collaborations directly from your Workspace profile menu. This option is useful if you are already working inside your workspace and want quick access to collaboration settings. Follow these steps to access Manage Collaborations from your profile:

  1. 1. Log in to your OnePlanet workspace.
  2. 2. In the top-right corner, click your profile icon.
  3. 3. From the dropdown menu, select Manage Collaborations.
  4. 4. You will be taken to the Manage Collaborations page, where you can:
    • – View connected workspaces
    • – Create a new collaboration
    • – Review and respond to collaboration requests

This view contains the same collaboration management tools as the dashboard access.

Request a Collaboration from a Published Ecosystem Plan

In addition to managing collaborations from your Dashboard or profile menu, you can also request a collaboration directly from a published Ecosystem Plan in the OnePlanet Public Library. This option is useful when you discover an ecosystem that aligns with your work and want to collaborate from the context of the plan itself. Follow these steps to access Manage Collaborations from the Publish Library:

  1. 1. Browse the Published Library on OnePlanet.
  2. 2. Open the published ecosystem plan you would like to collaborate with
    (for example: Eastbourne Carbon Neutral 2030).
  3. 3. On the published plan page, select the Collaborate or Request collaboration option.
  4. 4. Choose how you would like to collaborate, such as:
    • – Sharing your ecosystem
    • – Adopting from their ecosystem
    • – Both
  5. 5. Add a short reason or message explaining why you would like to collaborate.
  6. 6. Submit your collaboration request.

The request will be sent to the workspace that owns the published ecosystem plan for review.
